Atlantic Province

Kappa Psi

Jonathan Parker Vincent

Hello, I hope everyone is doing well. My name is Jonathan Parker Vincent and I’m a 2018 initiate of the Gamma Psi Chapter at Mercer University. I am honored to serve as your 2020 Atlantic Province Secretary. Currently, I am the Regent of the chapter. I also serve on the National Legislative Committee. Past positions I have had include Pledgemaster and Atlantic Province Parliamentarian.  Currently, I am pursuing two degrees, a PharmD and a Ph.D. at Mercer. My goal is to work in the Industry as a Drug Designer for cancer medications. My father died of cancer when I was young so I want to honor his memory by working hard and fighting illness.

Originally, I am from Las Vegas, Nevada. I have lived in 6 states in my lifetime: Nevada, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Texas, and Georgia. For fun, I like to write stories, read novels, study politics, learn the bass guitar, exercise, watch anime and play videogames.  I have participated in National Novel Writing Month in November 2016, where I wrote my novel. I have not published it yet, but it is a whopping 150,000 words! My favorite books include The Art of War, The One Thing, and The 5 dysfunctions of a Team. Currently, I’m reading Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi. I took up bass guitar after majoring in music (Saxophone player) at Emory University. My favorite anime is Rurouni Kenshin, and my favorite game series is Fire Emblem.

My goal for this year is to help brothers engage in the province and to be a resource for brothers’ success in their own chapters. The fraternity does not work unless we show up and be available for one another. The fraternity has given me many things: A family, a support network, and an accountability system just to name a few. Thus, if you need anything from me at any time please feel free to reach out to me. I’m looking forward to another awesome year in the Atlantic Province!”
