Hello Brothers! My name is Nikole Rizzo and I am a 2018 initiate of the Beta Xi chapter at UNC Chapel Hill. I am a current second-year pharmacy student and was previously Pledgemaster for Beta Xi. This past year I served on two province committees, the Ritual Committee and Media Development Committee, as well as the national Risk Management Committee. My “Why Kappa Psi” is dynamic and ever-changing, as this great fraternity opens opportunities and provides new experiences for its Brothers. The spirit and fellowship within this organization is like no other, and it was the people in the fraternity that drew me to want to become a Kappa Psi Brother during my first year of pharmacy school. So far, I have attended 2 Province Assemblies and 1 GCC which have both compelled me to strengthen my leadership skills as well as provided friendships for a lifetime.
I am originally from New Jersey— North Jersey to be exact because, yes, North and South Jersey are two completely different places. I attended undergrad at the University of Miami and am always willing to talk about anything Miami related. Although I will always be a Wawa-loving Jersey girl at heart, I hope to one day end up back in South Florida. My absolute favorite thing to do outside of pharmacy school is to box. My passion for boxing stems from my background in martial arts. I began Taekwondo lessons when I was just 6 years old, and I received my 3rd degree black belt at the age of 14. Little did I know back then that my training in Taekwondo would lead me to success within pharmacy by having already developed courtesy, integrity, and indomitable spirit.
Proud to be your brother,
Nikole D. Rizzo
