Jonathan H Boucher

Hello brothers! My name is Jonathan Boucher, and I’m a 2019 initiate of the Beta Xi Chapter at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. I am currently serving as our chapter’s Assistant Pledgemaster, and I served last year on the Atlantic Province Pledge Program Development Committee. My “Why Kappa Psi” is always changing as I continue to grow and learn from the brothers in Kappa Psi. I first joined because so many of the older students that I looked up to and admired in pharmacy school were Kappa Psi brothers, and I wanted to be a part of the same thing that helped make them who they are. Now as a brother of almost two years, the community and bonds that I have made in the brotherhood keep me going everyday to strive for the best for myself and for the fraternity.

Besides Kappa Psi, I am very involved with the Student Health Action Coalition (SHAC), an interdisciplinary student run clinic at UNC. I have previously served as a Medication Assistance Program (MAP) Coordinator, and now serve as the Director-Elect of the program. Ensuring access and affordability to necessary and often life saving medications for patients is a passion of mine. Working with MAP has been one of my favorite pharmacy school experiences outside of Kappa Psi.

I am originally from Westchester County, NY; just north of New York City (and no, that’s not Up State!). I attended Undergrad at UNC as well, so I like to refer to myself as a Double Tarheel! Outside of pharmacy school, I enjoy cycling classes, hiking, and spending time with friends and family! A fun fact about myself is that I’ve hiked shore to shore across an island in the Caribbean (13 miles back and forth on St. Johns)! I’ll be sure to bring that same determination and endurance to service our Province this year. I’m excited to be able to work across chapters to ensure our collective success this year, please reach out with any questions or concerns!

Fraternally,

Jonathan H Boucher
